If you're having a hard time getting over an ex-girl or boyfriend I want to tell you to do it quickly. Start each relationship new. Accept people as they are. Don't compare. Everyone has something uniquely different to offer. Focus on the characteristics that you like and shrug off the small things that really don't matter.

Also, don't waste your time with futile relationships. If you're not happy, end it as quickly as possible. It's the kindest thing you can do for yourself and the other person.

Expect the best for yourself. Plan your life. If you're in your twenties, start dating people you can actually have a future with: Men and women who will make good fathers and mothers and good husbands and wives. Work on yourself. Are you honest and kind? Are you a hard worker. Do you take good care of yourself? If not, clean up your act. If you're attracted to physically fit people, be physically fit yourself. Be honest and kind yourself. Be as good as the kind of person you'd like to end up with.

Also, make sure that you're attracted to the people you are with.

And one more thing. Create healthy dating habits for yourself. (Date people you actually like.) Bad habits are hard to break.

It's hard to say who I am. I try to be a good, honest and kind person but I've slipped up many times in my life. I'm disorganized, have trouble getting to places on time. I'm artistic, creative. I'm kind to animals. Was hurt by first love and didn't get the counseling I needed to move on. The result is a heap of scattered dominoes. I've read a lot of books and liked a lot of them.
